As a part of its ongoing celebration of  the 150th anniversary of the 1857 uprising, SAHMAT has published a book in Hindi “ Sitara Gir Padega” by noted writer-journalist Madhukar Upadhyaya. The illustrations for the book have been done by a young artist Sanjay Sharma. The book is being  released  on Monday, 18th June, 2007 at 5.00pm at the seminar room of the Indian Council of Historical Research, 35, Ferozshah Road, New Delhi ( near Mandi House) coinciding with the martyrdom day of Rani Lakshmi Bai. Shri Sudeep Banerjee, chancellor National University of Educational Planning & Administration will be releasing the book.
