We condemn the insensitive comments passed by you on national television in response to the statements of Zaheera and Sehrunnissa Sheikh that they were threatened and pressurised not to identify the guilty in the Best Bakery trial.

Instead of supporting their plea for justice you have chosen to question their credibility and cast aspersions on their character.

The Minorities Commission should have taken action to protect the witnesses whose vulnerability was never in doubt. Under the circumstances your attitude is totally rephrehensible. We demand that you issue a public apology and retract your statements.
