Punchline: Cartoonists against Communalism
A book of cartooned against communalism, drawn from the period three months prior to and three months after the demolished of the Babri Masjid, published as a volume. More than 30 cartoonists participated in a seminar to discuss the specificities of this genre. An exhibition bearing the title of the volume, Punchline, and comprising a selection of its cartoons was mounted. It was displayed in various schools in Delhi and travelled to twenty-five cities in India. The Bajrang Dal attacked the venue and tore up panels in Pune, but the exhibition travelled on to Ahmedabad with a fresh set of display panels. |
