140th Anniversary of First War of Independence (1857), Red Fort
	The 140th anniversary of the 1857 war of independence celebrated at the Red Fort, with music, songs, recitation, and an exhibition on the history of the yprising. The exhibition was later mounted in a number of educational institutions in Delhi while the anniversary was also celebrated in Aligarh and Rohtak. BACK
