Gift for India Book Gift for India
A unique exhibition, Gift for India, mounted at Rabindra Bhavan in New Delhi. The focus of the exhibition centered on the metaphorical notion of an offering, and used 5x5x5-inch gift boxes as the space within which artists, sculptors, photographers and graphic designers from forty countries responded with two hundred works. An-other section featured the worked of more than eighty artists who used the format of a stamp to explore the miniature scale while constructing images of the past fifty years. Yet another exercise involved interrogating the symbolism of the flag.
